He has a unique background, having worked as a finance professional at the Airports Authority of India, but his true passion lies in documenting street life.

Sarkar was a Fujifilm X Photographer and a respected figure in the global photography community. He is a founding member of the World Photographic Forum, a curator for APF magazine’s Street Photography section, and a consulting editor for Indian Photo Art Magazine. He actively shares his knowledge by giving lectures and conducting workshops at prestigious institutions like the Indian Institution of Management (IIM) and St. Xavier’s College.
